How to Import an Attendance File (Excel/CSV) in WatheeqaHR

Go to Attendance > Import File, upload the Excel or CSV export from your biometric device, review the auto-detected column mapping, then confirm. Steps

  1. Confirm your work calendar first

If you haven't already, set your shift times and weekly off days in Settings > Work Calendar — WatheeqaHR will prompt you if this step is missing.

  2. Go to Attendance > Import File

Open the Attendance page from the sidebar; the Import File tab is selected by default.

  3. Upload your file

Drag or select the .xls, .xlsx or .csv file exported from your attendance device or software.

  4. Review the column mapping

WatheeqaHR auto-detects columns like Employee ID/Enrollment No, Date, and Time. Adjust manually if your device uses a non-standard export format.

  5. Confirm the import

WatheeqaHR calculates present, absent, late and overtime for each employee and each day based on your work calendar.

  6. Review the results

Check the import summary for row errors or unmatched employee IDs, then review the report before it's used for salary.
